Geoxpress and Kutee Lee have teamed up for their latest single, “Cesc Fabregas,” a groovy Afropop track that transforms the pain of betrayal into a clever lyrical play. Inspired by real heartbreak, the song uses an unexpected football metaphor to explore themes of disloyalty and resilience. “Cesc Fabregas” is available now on all major streaming platforms.

The single’s hook, “You wan win trophy like Cesc Fabregas,” serves as a sharp and witty take on chasing clout and getting ahead at someone else’s expense. Geoxpress channels his personal experience with loss, while Kutee Lee provides soulful verses that delve into disappointment and the path to moving on. The result is a song that is as catchy as it is cathartic.

“It was inspired by a breakup; the football references weren’t even planned. I was just writing how I felt, and somehow lines like ‘you Dey try count scores, tell me which league?’ came out. It made sense at the moment. I wasn’t trying to make a football song, but the metaphors hit,” explains Geoxpress. “This song is real to me. It’s funny, deep, and painful all at once.”

“Cesc Fabregas” is a testament to the artists’ ability to find humor and strength in moments of vulnerability, creating a track that resonates with listeners who have faced similar betrayals.
