Dkizz and Mr. Vonn Team Up For “South London Girl”

Music in Nigeria’s entertainment space in 2024 has been spotty to say the least. Some decent releases have hit the airwaves and resonated well amongst listeners, while others have faded away. Dkizz came through at the start of the year with a solid 2-pack single titled “South London Girl + Port Harcourt Boy” to good acclaim. “South London Girl”, which was produced by Mr. Vonn has particularly caught the ears of those who have come across its smooth uptempo vibe as it permeates through walls of cars and clubs.

Dkizz makes a solid impression of himself for first time listeners on “South London Girl”. His songwriting is cohesive and catchy, and he confidently weaves stories of his interaction with a love interest through the instrumental. On this record Dkizz shows off his strengths as an artist as his vocals match up to the quality of his songwriting. This catchy rendition is against the background set by the inventive production of Mr. Vonn.

Born Fifunmi Vaughn, Mr. Vonn extends his influence in the Afrobeats space with production expertise that he executes to good effect on “South London Girl”.
