Bryann Merges Electronic, Rage, Pop, And Afrobeats On Paranodeydol EP

By  |

Nigerian artist Bryann, known for his experimental approach to Afrobeats and his captivating run as the first runner-up on Big Brother Naija Season 7, has returned with a new project. His latest six-track EP, Paranodeydol, takes his sound to new ground, exploring the desire to escape from what weighs you down.

According to Bryann, the EP was born out of a period of frustration and pain. “I needed to make something that matched that aggression or something to help me forget I was in pain. Paranodeydol is that outlet. I hope people hear it and feel free enough to dance or just forget their problems for a while.”

The EP is a dynamic fusion of Afrobeats with elements of electronic, rage, and South African house music. It draws inspiration from a wide range of artists and producers, including Don Jazzy, Spax, Mo’Hits, Asake, Magicticks, and Sarz. The standout single “Debe” features a collaboration with DJ Jae Murphy and Ṣẹwà, delivering a three-step electronic street anthem. Other tracks on the project include “Trabaye” with Alpha P, “Ijo,” “Rora,” “Update,” and “Lower.”

Bryann co-produced the project alongside a team that includes LOL, Arthur, Dayrick, and NYRP. The EP was mixed and mastered by TUC, with A&R handled by Frank Emmanuel and Stevie (Kayode).

Paranodeydol is now available on all major streaming platforms.
