BlackMyth Unveils New Single “Shayla” Featuring Una Rams & Blissbouy
Rising Xitsonga star BlackMyth (Matimba Andy Manganyi) is officially embarking on his next chapter with the release of his poignant new single, “Shayla.” This emotionally rich track, his first under Virgin Music Group, features chart-topping collaborators Una Rams and Blissbouy, creating a powerful fusion of heartfelt storytelling and irresistible Afro-infused R&B melodies.
“Shayla” is a modern-day love song deeply rooted in traditional values. At its core, it narrates a story of reconciliation, depicting a man’s earnest fight to win back the love of his life after a painful breakup. In a moment of raw vulnerability and cultural pride, he tenderly reminds his former partner of the lobola (bride price) he paid in cows, pleading with her not to return the wedding ring. The song beautifully explores universal themes of love, tradition, heartbreak, and hope, rendering it both deeply personal and widely relatable.
BlackMyth’s signature melodic delivery seamlessly blends with Una Rams’ smooth vocal finesse and Blissbouy’s vibrant energy, resulting in a track that truly speaks to the heart. Produced with meticulous precision and care, “Shayla” is poised to become an anthem for anyone navigating the intricate complexities of love and longing.
