Nigerian sensational singer and songwriter Lojay has officially released his highly anticipated debut album, XOXO. The 14-track project is a profound statement of the artist’s growth, fusing the soulful essence of Afro-R&B with a universal honesty that is set to captivate listeners worldwide.
XOXO reflects Lojay’s evolution as a storyteller, diving deep into themes of love, loyalty, temptation, and the beautiful chaos of emotional intimacy. The title embodies the project’s intimate nature, with Lojay sharing that the album is designed to feel like a “late-night text you probably shouldn’t send… but do anyway.”
The album showcases Lojay’s remarkable vocal prowess and his ability to curate powerful collaborations. Featured guests include Victony, Tyla, Odeal, and Fied, each contribution crafting tracks that seamlessly blend varied artistry and sounds.
A defining characteristic of the album is its authentic cultural depth, with Lojay making seamless transitions between English, Yoruba, Spanish, and Pidgin. This fluid linguistic approach resonates with a broad audience and highlights the pan-cultural appeal of modern Afrobeats.
XOXO was preceded by the previously released songs “Tenner,” “Mwah!” (with Odeal), and “Somebody Like You,” all of which set the stage for this emotionally messy, sexy, and sincere debut.
The full album, XOXO, is now available on all streaming platforms.
