Fast-rising Nigerian gospel innovator AnEndlessOcean (AEO) has officially released his deeply anticipated new album titled “FREEDOM,” a masterfully crafted body of work exploring the true meaning of spiritual liberation through surrender, gratitude, and divine alignment.
Born Ayobami Alli Hakeem and raised by a Muslim father and Christian mother, AnEndlessOcean ultimately found his spiritual anchor in Christianity—a unique background that continues to inform his introspective songwriting and distinct artistic expression. Over the past five years, he has emerged as a truly compelling and expressive voice within the contemporary Nigerian gospel landscape.
Inspired by the profound biblical promise found in John 8:36—”If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed”—AEO approaches freedom not merely as a single moment of grace, but as an ongoing, transformative journey of faith.
The album opens with “Ri’san,” a poignant track centered on total surrender, heartfelt gratitude, and the unmatched greatness of Jesus. From there, the project flows into “Billion, Trillion, Infinity,” which joyfully celebrates the boundlessness of God’s love and the radical personal transformation born from experiencing it.
That longing for spiritual evolution deepens further on “Freedom” and “Qyis.” On these tracks, AEO reflects intimately on divine holiness and faithfulness while expressing an unwavering desire to remain close to God. “Qyis”—also referred to as “Qedosh,” a title drawn from the ancient Hebrew word for “holy”—reinforces the record’s core emphasis on reverence, worship, and mirroring God’s nature.
