L.A.X Unveils Explosive Visuals for “Lockdown,” Lead Single from Upcoming Album Nobody Like Zaza

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation L.A.X is back with a bang, dropping the highly anticipated music video for “Lockdown,” the infectious first single from his forthcoming album, *Nobody Like Zaza*. Set for release in early April, the 13-track project promises to showcase L.A.X’s signature blend of vibrant melodies and heartfelt storytelling, featuring previously released hits “Loke” and “Let Me Know” with Taves and Ayo Maff.

The “Lockdown” visuals, now available for streaming, offer a cinematic glimpse into the rollercoaster of all-consuming love. Directed with gripping flair, the video opens with L.A.X and his love interest locked in a fiery argument inside a car speeding down the highway. The drama escalates as she steps out and fires a shot, setting the tone for a narrative that oscillates between passion and chaos. From tender moments cooking in the kitchen to carefree drives and vibey hangouts, the visuals capture love’s intoxicating highs and volatile lows, culminating in an unresolved standoff that keeps viewers guessing.

“‘Lockdown’ is about that kind of love you can’t escape from,” L.A.X explains. “It’s when you’re so deep in it—fully surrendered, no turning back. I wanted the video to show both the beauty and the tension that come with that.”

With its pulsating beats and L.A.X’s smooth delivery, “Lockdown” sets the stage for *Nobody Like Zaza*, an album poised to solidify his reign as one of Afrobeats’ most dynamic voices. Fans can watch the “Lockdown” video below and mark their calendars for the full album drop this April.
