Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr has today released the official music video for her infectious recent single, “Gimme Dat,” featuring the iconic Wizkid.
The highly anticipated collaboration on “Gimme Dat” delivers a captivating Afrobeats anthem, brimming with the dynamic energy and undeniable chemistry previously showcased by Ayra Starr and Wizkid on their hit track “2 Sugar.”
Ayra Starr’s signature soulful and melodic chorus takes center stage, perfectly complemented by Wizkid’s smooth and distinctive vocals, further enhancing the track’s irresistible allure.
“Gimme Dat” cleverly samples the iconic 2000 hit single “911” by Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige, exploring themes of love, playful flirtation, and the vibrant celebration of mutual attraction.
The track’s infectious rhythm, expertly crafted by producers vybeO and Mikababeatz, seamlessly blends the pulsating beats of Afrobeats with subtle yet captivating R&B undertones, creating a sound that is both familiar and fresh.
The release of “Gimme Dat” swiftly follows Ayra Starr’s well-received single, “All The Love,” which dropped earlier this year in February, further solidifying her position as a leading force in the Afrobeats scene.
The newly released “Gimme Dat” music video explodes with a vibrant and colorful essence, vividly bringing the energetic spirit of the song to life. Directed by the talented duo of Annie Bercy and Ayra Starr herself, the visuals perfectly capture the dynamic interplay and undeniable connection between Ayra Starr and Wizkid.
