Nigerian star Victor AD, known for his storytelling has returned with his latest single, "See God" featuring 2baba from the album "Realness Over Hype," which reflects on the importance of humility, gratitude, and positively impacting the lives of others. Victor AD's journey has been marked by both challenges and triumphs. His music is a front-row seat to personal experiences, faith, and growth. Victor AD explores faith, redemption, and hope.
Victor AD’s verse expresses a sense of guilt and recognition of past missteps. Lines like "How did I become so greedy" and "I’ve been taking credit for all the things that God did" reveal a man who has come to terms with his flaws and is seeking to make amends. The metaphorical line "But that thing I Dey find, E Dey for shokoto" encapsulates the song's central theme: Happiness and satisfaction one desires may be closer than one thinks.
Victor AD had envisioned collaborating with 2Baba long before it became a reality. This dream, written down a decade ago, now comes to fruition in "See God," a collaboration that seamlessly
blends Victor AD's modern sound with 2Baba's timeless influence. 2Baba's verse adds depth to the track. His line "On top of my wayward waka, He still dey bless e me" is a reminder of the grace that accompanies humility and self-reflection.
If there’s one thing Victor AD wants you to take away from this record is to find God and fulfilment within oneself and in everyday actions, rather than through grand gestures or distant quests.
“See God” is now available on all streaming platforms.
