Fiokee, a name synonymous with musical brilliance, has cemented his place as one of Nigeria's most exceptional guitarists. From his early days, when his trebly guitar solos first caught the ears of many, to his current status as a household name, Fiokee's journey has been marked by relentless passion and a commitment to evolving his craft. Having worked with some of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry, such as Davido, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage,
Fiokee's artistry has soared beyond the traditional role of a guitarist, leading him to explore new frontiers as a full-fledged artist.
In 2024, Fiokee embraced a new chapter in his career, releasing a string of singles that hinted at a broader musical vision. This journey has culminated in the release of his sophomore album, "Beyond A Guitarist [B.A.G]," a project that showcases Fiokee's evolution as an artist. For the first time, Fiokee steps behind the microphone, lending his voice to the melodies that his guitar has long defined.
The album is a star-studded affair, featuring collaborations with Johnny Drille, Spyro, Raybekah, Yago, Kemuel, Bruce Africa, Kholi, and Vicky Samdave, each adding their unique touch to the album.
"Beyond A Guitarist [B.A.G]" sees Fiokee wearing multiple hats with ease. From creating soundtracks for the dancefloor to serenading with love songs, Fiokee transitions between being a highlife connoisseur and a purveyor of feel-good rhythms. His signature guitar lines, steeped in highlife and Afrobeats, are ever-present, but the album also serenades, highlighting Fiokee's versatility and depth as a musician.
Each track on the album is a nod to his ability to blend genres while maintaining the authenticity that has made him one of the most sought-after musicians in Nigeria. "Beyond A Guitarist [B.A.G]" is now available on all streaming platforms.
