Afrobeats artist Deola steps confidently into the spotlight with a compelling two-track offering, “Composure” & “Kawosoke,” showcasing her impressive range and deep understanding of human emotion. The dual release provides a complete listening experience: balancing the quiet intensity of sensual attraction with the full-throttle euphoria of a celebration.
The release cements Deola’s position as an artist who effortlessly bridges genres, delivering tracks that are both intimate and globally accessible.
The first track, “Composure,” is an exquisitely smooth Afro-fusion groove that explores the delicate dance between raw passion and controlled restraint. Over layered, chilled-out percussion and seamless melodies, Deola sings of being completely captivated by a presence so strong that it demands self-control. The song builds a sensual, grounded atmosphere, with the artist pleading for “composure,” highlighting attraction that is intense yet mindful of mutual awareness. It’s a sophisticated anthem for the moment the heart races before the first move is made.
In sharp contrast, “Kawosoke” is a blast of pure, unbridled energy. The title, a powerful call-to-action in Yoruba meaning “rise” or “lift it up,” sets the stage for a high-energy Afropop celebration. Built for global dance floors and late-night movement, the track features bright, infectious rhythms and an immediate, memorable hook. As Deola explains, the song’s philosophy is simple: “No stress, no worries, just rise, dance, and enjoy life to the fullest.” This track is the sonic release—an invitation to drop all hesitation and move the body without thought.
Together, the “Composure” & “Kawosoke” dual-release provides listeners with a complete emotional journey. Whether you need a song for introspective, passionate moments or a vibrant soundtrack for carefree movement, Deola delivers two sides of the same compelling rhythm. This release reaffirms her versatility and unique voice in the modern Afrobeats landscape.
The dual single is now available worldwide on all major streaming platforms.
