Ayodele Joseph Basil, the award-winning producer universally known as Del B, has spent years meticulously crafting the foundation of Afrobeats—shaping hits for giants like Wizkid, Kcee, and Runtown. Now, the Kano-born maestro is trading the mixing board for the microphone with the release of his vibrant new single, “Pattern Am.” This breezy, flirtatious Afropop track features collaborations with the effortlessly smooth Reekado Banks and the dynamic newcomer Hotkeed.
“Pattern Am” marks a confident step into the foreground for Del B, showcasing his artistic vision not just through production, but through performance. The track is a playful, rhythm-driven take on the art of romantic pursuit, where success in attraction comes down to charm, rhythm, and finding the right approach—the perfect “pattern.”
Riding a bouncy, dance-ready groove that is instantly infectious, the three artists trade fluid verses in a captivating blend of Yoruba and English. Reekado Banks brings his signature silky confidence and melodic flair, while Hotkeed injects the track with youthful energy and swagger. Del B anchors the entire song, utilizing his producer’s ear to ensure every beat hits with perfect flow and feel. The result is a song about attraction that is lighthearted, genuine, and tuned to a perfect party frequency.
The message is clear: whether you’re promising love, good times, or just a reason to smile, romance isn’t about a rigid script—it’s about finding what truly fits and working that rhythm.
