Bien & Phyno Team Up for “All My Enemies Are Suffering” Remix
For two decades, Bien has been a driving force in African music as a member of the acclaimed band Sauti Sol. Now, on his solo journey, he has released a new collaboration, “All My Enemies Are Suffering,” featuring Nigerian rap star Phyno. The song bridges Kenyan Afropop with Igbo rap, creating a powerful anthem that’s both deeply local and fully continental.
The collaboration, produced by Remy Baggins, is a fusion of Afropop and highlife gospel. Built on warm highlife guitar lines, a deep bass, and live choral backing, the track feels at home whether in a Sunday service or a backyard party. The lyrics, which switch between English, Swahili, Luhya, and Igbo, are an unapologetic declaration of success.
The track’s communal and celebratory feel is enhanced by Igbo percussion and call-and-response chants. Phyno’s verse perfectly seals the song’s message: success is undeniable, and nothing can stop it. “All My Enemies Are Suffering” is a powerful reminder of Bien’s continued growth as a solo artist and his knack for creating music that transcends borders.
