Benin City’s vibrant music scene is rapidly asserting its dominance within Nigeria’s fiercely competitive soundscape, propelled by the success of global artists like Rema and Shallipopi. Now, adding to this surge, OUTSYD EDDIE, JNR ELDER, and OUSTYD DJ have unleashed “Afa Kennedy,” a track that thumps with local pride, infectious rhythm, and an undeniable street grit.
Straight out of Benin, “Afa Kennedy” masterfully blends pulsating Afro dance beats with authentic street slang, creating a sound that is both a rallying cry and a cultural statement. The song moves with the infectious energy of a chant and hits with the impactful resonance of a warning, packed with lines that deftly balance humor, the spirit of the hustle, and bold bravado. From the rhythmic “Totori my body” to the assertive “If u bill me omo na ghost mode,” “Afa Kennedy” is crafted for both physical movement and a powerful message.
This isn’t just another music release; it’s Benin City’s bold and authentic reply to the global stage. “Afa Kennedy” is out now and available on all streaming platforms, inviting listeners to experience the raw energy of Benin’s burgeoning music movement.
