Svnday Pack is a production duo working between Lagos and London, with roots across
Nigeria, Kenya, and the United States. Their sound moves across Afropop, alté, and R&B,
shaped by different cultural influences. On “Paper Airplanes,” they collaborate with Nigerian-
American artist DamiToTheWorld, who brings a personal writing style shaped by past
relationships and emotional reflection.
The EP opens with “Paper Planes,” a song built around missed communication and the desire
to reconnect with someone distant. The idea of folded notes thrown into the air becomes a way
of describing attempts to reach someone when direct communication no longer works.
Across the project, the tone shifts between vulnerability and self-awareness. “Superhuman”
moves into recovery and personal strength after heartbreak, while “Empires” reflects on
relationships that struggle to last under pressure. “Kenzilla” focuses on emotional exhaustion,
showing the point where attachment starts to fade into clarity. Each track follows a different
stage of emotional processing without forcing resolution.
The closing records, “Winner Man” and “Drama,” bring contrast. One leans toward gratitude in
love, while the other revisits inconsistency and emotional cycles that repeat without closure.
Together, the EP captures different sides of connection, from hope to frustration, without leaning
into a single outcome.
DamiToTheWorld said, “This project came from conversations I could not always finish in
real life. Writing helped me understand what I was feeling at different points.”
“Paper Planes EP” is now available on all streaming platforms via ONErpm.
