Super-producer Sarz has dropped one of the year’s biggest collaborative tracks, “Getting Paid,” featuring African superstar Wizkid, Nigerian breakout sensation Asake, and Jamaican Dancehall heavyweight Skillibeng. The single is a powerful anthem that celebrates success, the relentless hustle, and the undeniable rewards of unwavering ambition.
“Getting Paid” is a masterclass in genre-blending, immediately hitting listeners with a commanding fusion of core Afrobeat rhythms, high-octane Dancehall energy, and Sarz’s signature sleek, atmospheric production. The track’s foundation is rhythmically complex, offering both an infectious bounce and a gritty, global edge.
The collaboration radiates brilliance from the start. The track opens with Asake’s distinct, Yoruba-laced flow, delivering a catchy chorus packed with street-smart wisdom and undeniable wit. Wizkid then steps in, offering a smooth, melodic hook that sets a tone of effortless triumph, his vocals floating over the groove with his classic, laid-back swagger. Finally, Skillibeng ignites the track with his fiery dancehall cadence, injecting a sharp, international flavour that successfully bridges continents and cultures.
This meeting of four unique artistic voices—Sarz’s vision, Wizkid’s polish, Asake’s dynamism, and Skillibeng’s intensity—results in a contagious, high-energy anthem. “Getting Paid” stands out as a key track from Sarz’s highly anticipated latest album, Protect Sarz At All Costs, which features a robust lineup of 12 songs and other appearances from stars like ODUMODUBLVCK, Shallipopi, Gunna, Joeboy, and Teni.
