Delta State-born artist Orezi (Esegine Allen) has returned with his latest single, “Zuzu,” a vibrant Afrobeat track that celebrates attraction and nightlife with his signature playful energy. Since launching his career in 2009 and rising to fame with the 2013 hit “Rihanna,” Orezi has solidified his place in Nigeria’s music scene, collaborating with top producers and crafting music that resonates with joy and authenticity.
“Zuzu” is an energetic celebration, driven by an addictive hook (“Wanna put my Zuzu in your Zuzu”) and a mid-to-fast tempo that invites listeners to the dancefloor. Orezi’s cheeky lyrics blend admiration and desire, painting vivid scenes of flashing lights and magnetic chemistry. His charm shines as he seamlessly weaves Yoruba, English, and French phrases (“Comment tu t’appelle”) into the song, creating a sound that feels both locally rooted and globally appealing.
Balancing flirtation with fun, “Zuzu” avoids overt explicitness, opting instead for clever innuendos and imagery, such as comparing a love interest to a “magazine” vision. The track’s rhythmic beats and call-and-response structure make it a natural fit for clubs, house parties, and carefree drives. Orezi’s confident delivery and the track’s vibrant layers ensure “Zuzu” is more than just a song; it’s an immersive experience, a toast to living boldly and savoring connection.
“Zuzu” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
