Fast-rising Northern Nigerian singer and songwriter OG Abbah—affectionately known as the “Gwoza Presido”—has officially released his relentless new single, “Haba,” featuring Mahraz Number 1.
Born Muhammed Abubakar in Borno State and raised between Gwoza and Abuja, OG Abbah has quickly established himself as a vibrant force in the Arewa Afro-fusion and Afro-Hausa music scene. Through “Haba,” he channels the daily hustle, economic ambition, and cultural identity of the North into a modern, widely relatable sound.
The track waste no time getting to the core of the daily grind, opening with the direct declaration “ina neman kudi ne” (“I am looking for money”). OG Abbah captures the real-world weight of striving to make a living, singing “diraya zama dole” (“it has become a must”), while contrasting financial pressure with visions of the ultimate lifestyle—from “dramas in the hotel” to “1 million for my champagne.” The song’s relatable urgency peaks on the chorus with the street-favorite line, “nothing dey my obey, I need urgent 2k.”
Complementing the track’s drive, Mahraz Number 1 delivers a memorable verse rooted in persistence, offering the motivating mantra “try again, gwamna go pay.” Together, the two artists balance frustration with unyielding determination, creating an anthem for anyone focused on financial freedom and refusing to back down.
“Haba” is out now and available on all major music streaming platforms worldwide via ONErpm.
