LADIPOE has released a captivating new version of the timeless single, “Olufunmi,” now subtitled “The Missing Recipe.” This reimagined track sees LADIPOE collaborate directly with the iconic Nigerian musical group Styl Plus, infusing a vital element that was absent from their beloved 2006 chart-topping classic.
The “missing recipe” turns out to be LADIPOE’s distinctive rap verses, which breathe a fresh, contemporary vibe into the song and brilliantly showcase his lyrical dexterity. The result is a masterful blend of nostalgia and modernity, seamlessly fusing the original’s enduring charm with contemporary innovation.
LADIPOE’s signature storytelling, delivered with his characteristic swagger, transforms “Olufunmi” into a true cross-generational anthem. The track is set to resonate deeply with both long-time fans of Styl Plus and new listeners discovering the magic of the song for the first time.
The production of this unique fusion is credited to a collaborative effort from AYANIME, Sunky, Mekoyo, Ebenezer Utibe Inionbong, and Emmanuel Egwere. Their collective contribution has brilliantly reworked Styl Plus’ classic Afro-soul essence, creating a perfect soundscape that complements LADIPOE’s versatile rap artistry.
“Olufunmi (The Missing Recipe)” serves as a follow-up to LADIPOE’s previous record, “I No Be God,” which was released in March.
