1 min read

Nigerian music star, King Mo, makes the African woman a global sensation with his new hit track, ‘Melanin’ set to be released December 20th. The song comes from a place of deep respect and appreciation for the beauty and attributes particular to the dark-skinned women.

Born Ojo Oluwabusayo Omoniyi in Warri, Delta state, King Mo is bringing global spotlight on the cultural heritage of the African woman, “Melanin is a tribute to the beauty and strength of our culture. I wanted to create something that not only makes you move but also makes you proud of who you are.”

The song promises to be a fan favourite with massive plays on the radio waves. Based in the Americas, King Mo is putting the African woman’s skin as a deservedly colour that does not need to stay behind the scenes anymore.

The hit is a blend of African contemporary beats and relatable lyrics in the genre he calls Afro-Fusion, a niche that is now becoming a mainstay in audio entertainment today. Follow King Mo @kingmoomn [IG and TikTok and @kingmoomn_ [Twitter/X].
