Rising South African producer and DJ Gene Boi delivers a deeply emotive new single, Sekunzima, a dance-floor-ready record that explores the fragility of love under pressure. Driven by pulsating rhythms and haunting melodies, the track captures the emotional tension of a relationship struggling to survive, balancing raw vulnerability with movement and energy.
Blending Dance and Afro House influences, Sekunzima reflects Gene Boi’s ability to translate personal and universal experiences into sound. “We wanted to create a song that speaks to the struggles of relationships and the way music can be both a reflection of our pain and our salvation,” says Yanga Grenade. The track offers listeners both an emotional and immersive experience.
