Award-winning Afro-fusion artist, entrepreneur, and consistent bridge-builder between gospel and mainstream sounds, Gaise Baba, has joined forces with acclaimed vocalist Lawrence Oyor for the electrifying remix of his 2024 track, “No Turning Back II.”
“No Turning Back II” is a potent blend of tradition and modernity, layering compelling Yoruba proverbs with urgent and impassioned vocal deliveries. Lines like the resolute “Mi o ni choice” (“I have no choice”) and the unwavering “On God, mind is made up o” frame faith not as a passive option but as an undeniable and unshakable calling. Oyor’s rich harmonies seamlessly complement Gaise Baba’s fervent declarations, creating a dynamic call-and-response that resonates on both a deeply personal and powerfully communal level.
The track boldly proclaims unwavering faith, with lines like “Baba nla enikan ko le snatch me from His hand o” assuring listeners of divine protection. Furthermore, the powerful call to “shift the culture” extends beyond individual belief, urging listeners to become agents of change in the world around them.
“Whether you’re a believer or just searching, this song is about choosing conviction in a world full of distractions,” shares Gaise Baba. “Sometimes, moving forward means burning bridges and trusting the fire behind you.”
“No Turning Back II” is available now for listening and streaming on all major platforms.
