Fast-rising music sensation FOLA has released “miss u ii (nriri),” a poignant single off his highly anticipated 14-track debut album, 9, set to drop this weekend.
Functioning as a sonic time capsule of love, “miss u ii (nriri)” delivers a raw exploration of longing, affection, and the heavy emotional weight of deeply missing a partner. Built on delicate production by Sbthaproducer over a driving Afro-pop foundation, the track creates an intimate backdrop for FOLA’s expressive vocal range. Moving effortlessly between soft, conversational tones and soaring emotional peaks, FOLA captures the fear of losing a safe haven while declaring a stubborn commitment to fight for love through tough times.
The single underscores FOLA’s growing reputation as one of the most emotionally articulate new voices in contemporary African music.
“miss u ii (nriri)” offers a glimpse into 9, a comprehensive 14-track project featuring star-studded guest appearances from Zlatan, Bella Shmurda, Ayra Starr, and more.
“miss u ii (nriri)” is out now and available across all major music streaming platforms worldwide.
