Ghanaian music stars Fameye and Medikal have joined forces on their new single, “Habit,” a song that explores the complex realities of modern life. The track serves as both a confession and a celebration, offering a candid look at temptation, self-awareness, and the fast pace of success.
Fameye opens the song with raw honesty, speaking about his attraction to the nightlife and the guilt that often follows. He admits, “I know myself… so many bad things I do,” setting a tone of introspection. Medikal follows with his signature wit, framing the high life as both exhilarating and costly.
The two artists’ verses weave together into a chorus that is both a party anthem and a moment of reflection. The lines “S3 champagne wo ha mo ma y3ntuso oo, Ntampi wa ha moma yen shi bi oo” serve as a toast to excess that also hints at the potential for reckless decisions.
“Habit” is built on a Ghanaian bounce Afropop groove, creating a beat that feels celebratory despite the serious undertones of the lyrics. This contrast between inner conflict and outward joy is what makes the song so relatable. It’s a track for anyone who has experienced the temptations that come with success.
