Port Harcourt-born duo Ajebo Hustlers, comprised of rapper Knowledge and singer Piego, have released their highly anticipated new EP, “Onorato.” This four-track project is a powerful ode to their journey, ambition, and the realities of life, delivered with their signature blend of Afro-pop melodies and gritty street slang.
“Onorato” (meaning “honor should be given to”) is a testament to Ajebo Hustlers’ growth and evolution as artists. Each track navigates the contrasts of life, from the hunger for success (“Ambition”) and the yearning for connection (“Longing”) to playful romance and bold intimacy (“Sexual Daring”). Tracks like “Ave Maria” offer a groovy vibe, while “Velvet” strips back to soulful confessions, showcasing the duo’s versatility.
The EP’s concise tracklist prioritizes quality over quantity, with each song a carefully crafted mosaic of their experiences. “Onorato” balances moody basslines with shimmering hooks, introspective verses with sing-along choruses, creating a sound that is both familiar and fresh.
“We want the world to see our depth,” says Piego. “Whether it’s a party jam or a song about life’s pressures, we’re here to connect.” With “Onorato,” Ajebo Hustlers don’t just demand respect; they’ve already earned it.
“Onorato” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
