Genre-bending Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper Victony has officially released his highly anticipated sophomore studio album, Starlife, available today across all major streaming platforms. Executive produced by Shay “Gideon” Royale and Elochukwu Ububa, the 15-track project marks a definitive evolution for the artist, transitioning from the themes of survival that defined his earlier catalog into an era of self-acceptance and creative freedom.
Starlife follows Victony’s critically acclaimed 2024 debut album Stubborn and his subsequent Very Stubborn EP. Where previous projects documented his resilience, Starlife shifts toward a more personal narrative. The album captures the artist stepping fully into his personality, blending Afropop, R&B, and Hip-Hop seamlessly across 10 solo tracks and 5 key collaborations.
The project features a stellar lineup of guest artists, including BNXN on “Who This”, Blaqbonez and YKB on the title track “Starlife”, BabyboyAV on “Pino”, Young Jonn on “Armed & Dangerous”, and rising sensation Fola on “Twin”. Preceded by lead singles “Slick” and “2Fresh”, the body of work showcases Victony’s signature chant-infused arrangements, introspective songwriting, and boundary-pushing production.
The album artwork—revealed across his official social media channels following private listening showcases in London and Lagos—features a nostalgic childhood photograph of Victony wearing a black cap and gold chains set against a bold backdrop, symbolic of the journey from his early beginnings in Ojo, Lagos, to global stardom.
