Afrobeats titan Asake cements global legacy with highly anticipated fourth album “M$NEY”

2 min read

Two-time Grammy-nominated powerhouse Asake has officially released his fourth studio album, “M$NEY,” via Giran Republic and EMPIRE. Reaffirming his position as a defining voice in contemporary music, the 13-track project serves as a profound exploration of spiritual growth, creative evolution, and the weight of cultural influence.

The album’s visual identity is anchored by a striking marble structure in Asake’s likeness, crafted by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar. The artwork symbolizes the permanence of Asake’s physical and cultural presence in the global landscape. Musically, the journey begins with a live choral performance, establishing a spiritual and immersive soundscape that blends orchestral grandeur with the pulse of African rhythms.

“M$NEY is a reflection of my spiritual and creative journey. Everything flows from a place of gratitude to God and every moment that’s shaped me,” states Asake. “The music explores different sonic elements, from orchestral sounds to dance beats. I stay true to myself but also weave in new creative expressions from my life experiences and personal evolution.”

The rollout for “M$NEY” began in February 2025 with the hypnotic single “WHY LOVE,” followed by the summer hit “BADMAN GANGSTA” featuring Tiakola—a track that reimagined Amerie’s iconic “1 Thing” with silky guitar riffs and smoky saxophone flourishes. The sonic palette expanded further with the DJ Snake-assisted anthem “WORSHIP,” fusing cross-cultural dance production with deep spiritual connection.

On “GRATITUDE,” Asake reflects on the quiet cost of visibility and public scrutiny, urging resolve and thankfulness over jazz-tinged arrangements. He continues this inward journey on “FORGIVENESS,” a prayer for grace that traces his path from self-reckoning to a hard-earned sense of peace and clarity.

Since his 2020 breakout, Asake has redefined the boundaries of Afrobeats. He currently holds the record for the most entries (62) on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and stands as the most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria. “M$NEY” follows his record-breaking 2025 joint EP “REAL, Vol. 1” with Wizkid, further solidifying his trajectory as a global music icon.

“M$NEY” is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
