Mr JazziQ Marks New Era of Artistry with Highly Anticipated 14-Track Album ‘03:03’

By  |

Amapiano heavyweight and visionary producer Tumelo Manyoni, professionally known as Mr JazziQ, has officially released his ninth studio album, 03:03. Distributed via ONErpm, the project serves as a definitive milestone in his transition from a young hitmaker to a seasoned solo force. The album’s title and release date are a dual tribute to JazziQ’s birthday, March 3, signaling a deeply personal and reflective chapter for the Black Is Brown label head.

03:03 is a comprehensive 14-track journey that meticulously balances high-octane club anthems with grounded, human storytelling. In a bold departure from traditional dance music openings, the album begins with an introduction from Madala TK, a dedicated advocate for sobriety. Madala TK’s narrative of recovery and resilience sets a mature, intentional tone for the project, grounding the listener before the rhythmic exploration begins. The lead single, “Wololo,” which features industry titans Focalistic, Vigro Deep, and MJ, has already dominated airwaves, showcasing the intricate production and genre-shifting log drums for which Mr JazziQ is renowned.

The album thrives on its diverse collaborative spirit, bridging the gap between Amapiano’s pioneers and its rising stars. Tracks like “Chom Yam” (a playful nod to the artist’s fan-given nickname, “Chommie”) featuring Chley offer a lighter, melodic contrast to the project’s more intense grooves. To push the sonic boundaries of the record, Mr JazziQ enlisted the expertise of King P, Zwayetoven, and Mpho Spizzy, while integrating the distinctive “3 Step” vocal style of Tete. Contributors like Sje Konka and Freddy K further enrich the project, ensuring the sound remains rooted in authentic South African dance culture while embracing global electronic influences.

“I am proud of the work we put into this album,” Mr JazziQ shared. “It shows where I have been and where I am going. I wanted to make something for the people who have been with me since the start, and I am thankful for the team that helped me bring this to life.”

To celebrate the launch, Mr JazziQ is hosting a premier two-day music and food experience at Vibes on Main in Johannesburg. The event serves as both an album launch and a birthday celebration, bringing together fans and the local community to experience the heartbeat of the Amapiano movement in person. 03:03 is more than a collection of songs; it is a testament to six years of growth, evolution, and the unwavering discipline of a producer who continues to shape the future of African music.

03:03 is now available for streaming on all digital music platforms.
