Apex Village continues to redefine the music scene with their latest release, Extracurricular Activities. This release marks a new chapter in the group's evolution, showcasing their growth and maturity as artists while staying true to their signature sound. "Extracurricular Activities" provides a gritty yet laid-back glimpse into the chaotic lifestyle of the modern-day hustler. The song balances moments of bold confidence with honest reflections on the challenges and pressures that come with success. Lines like “Feel like I’m [sleeping with] on my enemy” and “This life dey come with some insanity” capture the tension between pleasure, danger, and the unpredictable nature of life in the fast lane. The chorus centres around the phrase "extracurricular activities," which serves as a metaphor for the risky and indulgent behaviours associated with living on the edge.
ThrillMax not only handles the production with finesse but also contributes as an artist, adding his unique flair to an already standout piece. The production, spearheaded by ThrillMax with contributions from Max and Kyle, is a testament to their skill. Heavy basslines, crisp percussion, and atmospheric synths create a dark and moody atmosphere, while the vocals shift between smooth melodies and sharp, rhythmic
flows.
