Keji Hamilton is a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, composer, social reformer, and ordained minister. His
journey began in music at a high level as a core member of Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band, where he spent
over a decade performing and contributing to its sound. Over time, his life shifted direction as he stepped
away from that chapter and moved into ministry and social advocacy, with a strong focus on anti-drug
awareness. His new single “Agbaya People” comes from a place shaped by both his musical past and
personal transformation.
On “Agbaya People,” Keji Hamilton turns his experiences into a direct cry for help and protection. He
calls on God as his guide and defender while expressing frustration over people he describes as stubborn
and disruptive in his life. The song carries a prayer-like tone, where he asks for deliverance from those he
feels are constantly watching and opposing him. “I have seen both sides of life, and I know the only
steady help is from God,” he says.
The record also reflects a sense of survival and trust in divine justice. He believes that no matter the
pressure or opposition, there is a higher authority that can overturn harmful intentions. The repeated call
