Meet Wemimo “WINQY” Folorunsho The Multi-Disciplined Entertainment & Media Professional Who is Re-shaping the Media

Born Wemimo Folorunsho In Ilorin Kwara State in the 80’s He Attended Bishop Smith Memorial College In Ilorin and Went on to attend Kwara State Polytechnic where he graduated with a certificate in Public Administration

His knowledge and love for music grew from his days in the Church Choir where he was also an Instrumentalist. His interest in Media started after secondary school education when he traveled to the Northern part of the country, and his aunt’s husband gifted him a mobile sound deck with records from Jeremiah Gyang, Sean Paul etc..

He then returned to Ilorin for his Tertiary education and auditioned for a role at Midland 99.0FM as a freelance Artiste some years later. His first major employment as a full time On Air Personality was with Royal 95.1FM in 2012 and he moved to  Inspiration 100.5FM Ibadan in the year 2016.

Versatility is the hallmark of Wemimo’s decade plus Entertainment & Media career, which began in Radio (Harmony 103.5 FM, Inspiration 100.5 FM, Midland 99.0 FM, x Royal 95.1 FM). His On-Air Personality “WINQY” amassed thousands of loyal fans, headlined events, exclusively interviewed A-List Recording Artists in Nigeria, Actors, DJs, Entertainment Stakeholders, and Producers.

WINQY received 3 Radio Awards (2013 Radio Personality of the Year, Elite Vibes Magazine, 2012 On Air Personality of the Year, Hype Awards, 2012 Voice of Radio, Emperor Awards).

In A Recent Interview Wemimo says ” The Nigerian Country is filled with talents in every sector and we have to harness them properly and present them to the global audience, and that’s what I am to do, Discover, document and present the best entertainers from my country to the world”
