Kojjo Zagga releases romantic Afropop hit drenched in feel good love & vibes – ‘Dava’
Hailing From Ghana, Kojjo Zagga has been surrounded by an enriched musical environment. Despite the expected inspiration to come from his father’s musical director occupation, Kojjo Zagga drew his true and most impactful influence from the passing of one of his musical heroes Lucky Dube.
Born Timothy Kojo Azaglo. The Maverick Recording Artist, Singer-Songwriter represents the whole Dansoman Community began His Education at Abossey Okai R/c School from Class 1 to Jnr. Sec. Sch. 3 (JSS 3) & completed in 2008.
Despite the expected inspiration to come from his father’s musical director occupation, Kojjo Zagga drew his true and most impactful influence from the passing of one of his musical heroes Lucky Dube. Following this, Kojjo began to take advantage of the artistic resources that had encompassed his fascinating childhood and started making his own music with a particular goal in mind to incorporate reality into his lyricism wherever he could. ‘I regard my music as eclectic in ways that many people can feel relatable.
So I talk about things that capture the moment and still can be forward looking.’ He has quite the array of career highlights; particularly in terms of people he’s shared a stage with names including: Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Mr Eazi, R2bees, and Shatta Wale at numerous musical events across Africa. Kojjo Zagga has already established a remarkable discography yet continues to blossom with every single release; he holds great promise for the future of Afropop and is guaranteed success in this challenging industry.
The single ‘Dava,’ is the Afrobeat anthem of the year provided by the genius, creative mind of Kojjo Zagga. Born from a place of pure & unwavering love and passion, ‘Dava,’ is Kojjo’s dedication to love of his life; a song he describes as, ‘a romantic story of how loving the perfect one is magical, beautiful and sweet.’ Coming from such a raw & personable place, the song is drenched in a rich sense of authenticity and realness.
