British-Nigerian Afrobeats artist Great Adamz is continuing his impressive musical journey with a new single, “Body & Soul,” a collaboration with UK singer-songwriter Maddox Jones.
The track marks the latest in a series of successful team-ups for the duo, following their previously well-received songs “Chasing Moments” and “It’s Christmas Time.” On this new release, they delve deeper into matters of the heart, delivering a sultry love anthem that expertly blends Afrobeats rhythms with Maddox Jones’s signature alt-pop melodies.
“Body & Soul” is laced with heartfelt lyrics that find Adamz in a vulnerable state, singing, “My love bamijo, malo baby don’t go o / I miss you and I love you and I want you.” The song builds to a catchy chorus—”Need your body and soul, never gonna let you go now”—solidifying its place as both a danceable track and a heartfelt dedication.
The chemistry between Great Adamz and Maddox Jones is on full display, building on the cross-cultural energy they’ve established over the years. With the momentum from recent singles like “Funke” and the viral Yoruba version of the “Gummy Bear Song,” Great Adamz is cementing his position as an Afrobeats export with growing international appeal. “Body & Soul” stands as another testament to his versatility and expanding global footprint.
“Body & Soul” by Great Adamz featuring Maddox Jones is now available on all streaming platforms.
