Fido Drops Highly Anticipated Debut EP, “Olayemi”

Nigerian singer Fido has officially released his highly anticipated debut extended play project, “Olayemi.” This eight-track EP is a deeply personal and transformative body of work, weaving together Fido’s storytelling prowess, raw emotion, and smooth vocals into a cohesive project.

According to Fido, “’Olayemi’ is more than my name; it is my truth, and my offering to the world. This EP is deeply rooted in my story, my spirit, and the sounds of matogun. It is a reminder that African music still has many layers to uncover and that music, at its core, is transformative.”

The EP explores themes of love, ambition, and self-discovery, with Fido’s vocals gliding effortlessly over each beat. The project includes a standout guest feature from superstar Kizz Daniel on the remix of Fido’s track “Joy is Coming.”

The release of “Olayemi” was preceded by the successful singles “Joy is Coming” and “Money Moves.” Fido shared in a recent interview that all songs on the project reflect his journey from his neighborhood roots to becoming a globally recognized artist.
