Wale JR Shares Biography Ahead of Epiphany Debut
Babalola Emmanuel Olumide also known by the moniker, Wale JR is a Nigerian Gen Z Afrobeats singer, rapper, storyteller, songwriter and creative genius.
Born 28th of November, 2007, hails from Ondo State (Ikare). He grew up in Lagos State. Studied at New Hope of Glory int’l School and wrapped up his Secondary Education in the year 2023.
Wale Jr, a talented young artist, started his musical Journey while he was just 9-Years Old with freestyles on social media under the moniker “JR Vibez” inspired by Afrobeats superstar, Seyi Vibez. A year after he changed his name in replicate of his father to show some respect to him, as mentored and directed by his artists & repertoire, @Roadgod_ aka RG.
He grew up listening to legendary musicians like, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Tems, Asa, Ayra Starr and Tiwa Savage. Inspired by his dad and mum’s love for music and the study of human behavior.
Bringing up a new direction and awakening a new template for creatives, Wale JR a young ambitious man who proclaimed his professional aspiration by making an experimental impact in the mainstream music industry and served as a representation of his motherland. His fashion ideology was inspired by Pabl$ Vluxe.
According to him the JR ARMY ideology is a special movement coined by his dedicated Artist & Repertoire, RG to help set the foundation for his fan base. He is set to release his mainstream debut single christened, EPIPHANY which refers to a sudden, profound understanding or realization about a spiritual truth or the divine.
Currently he is locked in the studio recording on a daily basis.
