Today marks the standalone release of “Funke,” the twelfth track from Great Adamz’s debut album “Blessed Boy” (November 22, 2024 via Radikal Records). What began as a compelling album cut is now emerging as its own energetic single, carrying the sensual, dance-feel that fans have come to love.
Since its inclusion on “Blessed Boy,” “Funke” has stood out for its playful swagger, Afrobeat rhythms, and catchy refrain — “Funke / Ori mi o fokasibe” — delivering a youthful flirtation that audiences across Lagos have resonated with. With lyrics like:
“She tell me say she be Gen Z / I see say you want to carry big Belle…”
…plus lines such as:
“Oya gbe mi trabaye o / Anything wen you want I go pay o…”
the track delivers an engaging mix of wooing and light-hearted confidence, powered by its irresistible 2-minute 46-second groove .
Now repackaged as a standalone single, “Funke” preserves its original energy while offering a fresh promotional lift. It’s available today — June 13, 2025 — on all major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Audiomack, and Boomplay, as well as others.
This release builds on the momentum of “Blessed Boy,” a vibrant 14-track debut lauded for its seamless fusion of emotive vocals and danceable rhythms. Radikal Records has continued to support Great Adamz’s journey since he signed in early 2024.
“Funke” is now available for streaming and download. As listeners immerse in its flirtatious beat, it reaffirms Great Adamz’s knack for blending storytelling with dancefloor appeal — bringing a touch of affectionate charm to the Afrobeat landscape.
