Joeboy Unveils Third Studio Album “La Lavida,” A Journey of Growth and Storytelling

Nigerian Afropop sensation Joeboy has officially released his highly anticipated third studio album, “La Lavida,” through his own imprint, Young Legend, in partnership with Warner Music Africa.

The thirteen-track project, titled “Viva Lavida” – translating to “Live Life” – marks a significant step in Joeboy’s artistic journey, showcasing his maturing narrative, masterful storytelling, and increasingly refined artistry.

“Viva Lavida” delves into a wide spectrum of human experiences, exploring themes ranging from the intricacies of love and heartbreak to the strength found in resilience and self-empowerment. Each track on the album serves as a chapter in Joeboy’s evolving personal and artistic narrative, inviting listeners to explore the complexities of life alongside him.

Joeboy’s sophomore album features notable guest appearances from a diverse range of talented artists, including Olamide, Wizard Chan, Qing Madi, Tempoe, and Elana Dara, adding layers of sonic texture and collaborative energy to the project.

The album was expertly overseen by Tempoe, who served as the executive producer, following Joeboy’s previously released singles “Taxi Driver,” “SMH,” “Osadebe,” and “Adenuga,” which offered glimpses into the album’s sonic direction.

Leading up to the release, Joeboy shared his artistic intentions on X, stating, “The Viva Lavida album is purely about unique music. No gimmicks, no agenda, no controversy, No diss. Just BEAUTIFUL music.”

“Viva Lavida” represents a clear progression from Joeboy’s previously acclaimed projects, “Body & Soul” and “Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic,” demonstrating his continued growth and exploration within the Afropop genre.

Notably, “Viva Lavida” marks Joeboy’s debut album under his newly established Young Legend imprint, launched just months after his departure from Mr. Eazi’s Banku Music, signifying a new and independent chapter in his burgeoning career.
